Generosity 2014, in Africa a rare and tragic disease was spreading very quickly to a lot of people who lived west in Africa, it was called “Ebola”. Signs and symptoms typically start between two days to three weeks after getting the virus. This included diarrhea, vomiting, headaches and many other things, along with decreased function of the liver and kidneys. Some people begin to bleed internally and externally. The disease has a high risk of death. It kills an average of about 50 percent. This is often due to low blood pressure from fluid loss, and typically follows six to sixteen days after symptoms appear. The incubation period for people that have it is an average of 16 to 21 days. I have gone to her church many times before this and they had a big chart to help people that were living in Africa and their goal was to make 100,000 so they could find a vaccine/ also build a school for Africans living in the North of Africa. As we arrived to church, I never really thought anything of it or that my grandma would donate a lot of money towards the church. We walked into the church and talked to people like we usually did and got our seats and prepared for the service. Their chart for the money for Africa was at 60,000. People were worried that they wouldn’t get enough money so they would be able to donate the $100,000 towards the cure for Ebola and to build the school for the Africans. My grandma lives in not a very wealthy area in the North Side. The church leaders now passed a bucket around asking for donations, my grandma then decided to write a check for $40,000 to donate to the church. I was in shock; I couldn’t believe my grandma had given away that much money. I thought about for a while and wondered to myself why she would give $40,000 dollars to people she didn’t even
