One social and ethical dilemma posed by geoengineering is whether the intentional manipulation of the global climate is ethically acceptable (Corner & Pidgeon, 2010). Some people may disagree that three to four degrees (sometimes higher) is not too damaging for ecosystems or people. Climate control is stated to be affected human activities and the attempts to reverse these activities should not be intended. Another social ethical dilemma posed by geoengineering is consent (Corner & Pidgeon, 2010). If an agreement would be reached about climate control, it would be unsure whose agreement it would be, political or scientific. Consent issues are not only in America, but internationally as well.
