After reading chapter one, identify some of George and Lennie’s traits. How would you describe the relationship/friendship they have together?
George and Lennie are both unique characters in Of Mice and Men and have an important relationship in the novel. George is driven to accomplish his goals to own a farm and fulfills his promises even if it is at the cost of his own happiness. He is very witty and pays attention to the situation that surrounds him so he will be ready for anything that is to come. On the other hand, Lennie is a character who is forgetful and irresponsible, as he constantly says throughout the book “I forgot” (Steinbeck 4).
