At the age 19 years old, Martha married Daniel Parke Custis. 18 months after the death of Daniel, Martha married George Washington. Martha wed colonel George Washington in 1759 and later became USAs First Lady. She also had many quotes, here are two of them, “I live a very dull life here indeed I think I am more like a state prisoner” and “The greater part of our happiness or misery depends on our dispositions and not our circumstances”.
