On July 13, 2013, the murder case of George Zimmerman primarily fell into the hands of Judge Nelson. George Zimmerman allegedly shot and killed Trayvon Martin in a gated community in which both Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman lived. Zimmerman was head over the community neighbor watch as also stated in the murder case.
Throughout the trial, there were multiple eye witnesses as well as 911 calls made towards the scene. One of those key witnesses was Rachael Jeantel. Rachael was a friend of Trayvon in elementary school as well as high school. She began to testify how the night of his murder; she was the last person of that Trayvon Martin knew personally to have communication with him.
