In 2011 they were crowned Bank of the year They like to think that because they go the extra mile for their customers.



BankWest of Australia is a full bank service based in Western Australia.
In October 2008 Commonwealth Bank of Australia bought BankWest.



Culture


Happy banking is what BankWest stands for, it is not only there to take care of the customers.



Not only do they look after their customers but they get involved in the community as well, and help charities and to spread a little bit of happiness.



The staff of the Bank helps and gets into

voluntary work and helps the community

to raise money.

BankWest has a relaxed environment, and encourages a

change in the workplace at all times. There are great opportunities for employees to grow their skills at BankWest and the bank supports that. There are many different positions in the workplace, from managers to relationship manager, head of retail store



managers, assistant employees and many more positions. Products and services


They offer low interest rates, they have low rates and fee free transaction accounts.



Their products include things like home loans, zero transaction account, business

low rate loans, personal loans, credit cards and more.

Germany is the fifth largest economy in the world and Europe’s largest leader in exporting of machinery, vehicles, chemicals and households. (OECD, 2012)



GDP contracted 5.1% in 2009 but grew by 3.6% in 2010 and 2.7% in 2011. (Sonnenschein, 2012) Although the eurozone crisis has affected Germany their



standard of living has been getting better and better. Germans satisfaction with their standard of living has remained remarkably stable at 88%


Stimulus efforts and tax cuts increased Germany’s budget deficit to 3.3% in 2011. (OECD, 2012)

Economic conditions


Australia rich and diverse natural resource attract high levels of foreign investment and include extensive reserves of coal, iron ore, copper, gold natural gas, uranium and renewable energy sources. Former Rudd Government introduced a stimulus package of



$50 billion while the Reserve Bank of Australia cut interest rates.


Australia's economy continued to grow from 1.4% in 2009 and by 1.8% in 2011. (Reserve Bank of Australia, 2012).



Unemployed is currently at 5.1% in August 2012. (Australian
Bureau of Statistics, 2012) The government could return back to budget surplus by 2015
