Tupac Amaru Shakur is a tremendous inspiration in my life, and he always snatches me back in the right direction when I feel like giving up. He reaches out to people through a combination of his life’s experiences and music. Shakur’s song “Ghetto Gospel” broadly reflects on society as a unit. Every decision that is made, large or small affects the entire society. Shakur says, “I stop and stare at the [children;] my heart goes to [them.] [They’re] tested[;] it was stress [they’re] under” (lines 9-10). Developing children are facing situations they shouldn’t have to experience. He tells how people are ashamed of their children and their behavior, but those children never had parents in their lives, just people.
