Giraffes are one of the tallest animals in the world. An average giraffe can grow to about 18 feet and their legs are 6 feet tall. The coat of a giraffe has markings of tawny to chestnut-brown and each giraffe has a different coat pattern. These animals have a bony hornlike growth called ossicones growing from the giraffe’s skull. 21 countries in Africa are the places where giraffes live.
