Many types of different religions and belief systems have originated since civilizations started to build or settle. A belief system is an orderly way that groups or individuals look at religious faith or philosophical principles. These systems have had various effects on politics, society, and the economy in the nations or regions in which they are practiced. Two examples of religions or belief systems are Hinduism and Confucianism. Both of them affected their region in more than one way. Hinduism is the oldest religion in the world and it is still practiced till this day by a large number of followers. One major belief of Hinduism is reincarnation. Reincarnation is the belief that when one dies he/she is given a new life depending on if they did good things in their past life or the opposite which is called Karma. Hinduism is the major religion of India so it effects India in multiple ways. One effect that it has is on India is the strict caste system that it has set up. In this caste system everyone belongs to a certain social class, which they are born into. People say that this caste system has effected India negatively and the Indian constitution has also made it illegal, however many people still follow it . In this social structure there is one group that is treated worse than the others and that is the untouchables. The untouchables are given jobs like cleaning toilets and picking up garbage.
