The love from father is always difference than mother. This kind of intangible love sometime may create a huge wall in the relationship between children and fathers. Also if there were some type of outside influences in the society or around the family, the father and son situation can be a little out of hand. James Baldwin and Preston L. Allen both described a fatherhood on the outside child, in the “Go Tell It on the Mountain” and “Jesus Boy.” The both two families having an outside child issue, however, due to the differences of perspectives of the society, the church and the religion, it make the fatherhood a lot different. Gabriel, from “Go Tell It on the Mountain,” had troubles to love his sons when the fatherhood and the religion come across. Baldwin created Gabriel as a super religion person, so in his mind that his two older children, Royal and John, were sins. Royal is part of blood, but he is belong to a women who Gabriel didn't marry. John is not even part of blood, and he just a non-name child who saved by Gabriel. This …show more content…
Allen believes that the society/religion should not pressuring too hard on people’s behavior, if sex is part of human nature, then we should not hide it. If we had relationship with others, we should admit it. Roscoe’s family invited Benny to home for dinner.
