Gods and Religion
Religion is known to be one of the most controversial topics. In fact, there are many misconceptions of some have about different religions.

To have faith in something higher than mankind gives us hope when we need it most. My religion has lead me on the path I'm on today. Be it islam, christianity, hinduism, jewish or any other religion or spirt. All have the same optimal goal to be kind and to have fait.Faith gives us strength in the most difficult times . In “Monkey and the Monk,” we witnessed the master and his disciples on their journey. Although, they may have seemed to guide themselves their faith was not weak in faith but instead he was strong in faith they had absolute confidence that spirits would help them fulfill his their journey even in a humanly impossible situation. It was clear that finding a faith that you truly believe in was not an easy task; “[I]f you have truly embraced the faith of Buddhism, you must be willing to endure pain and suffering; only then you will be a true disciple”(290).

In some cases like in “Monkey and the Monk,” we are our own competitors.Our faith is always tested when there is a hard theological decision to make or somebody else trying to break your bold with God. The Novel “Monkey and the Monk,” is a great example of how staying true to your faith can sometimes be hard. Similarly, we are able to view the power of our faith in God and in Spirits in Homer’s “Odyssey”, the gods play a critical role in the lives of humans. Odysseus, being a man, knows this and seeks protection and assistance from the gods because he knows that it is necessary. The authority of the gods over Odysseus and the other characters in this ancient epic is obvious. Throughout the epic, the characters are attempting to find favour with the gods. By making wise choices and being hospitable Odysseus and his family will be graced with kindness and
