The Dr. Debbie Sterling Ted Talk was one of my favorite pieces we watched in this course. I absolutely loved the Ted Talks, and I am now influenced to watch them on my own time once this course is over. I absolutely loved Dr. Sterling’s perseverance and determination to positively show herself in the STEM community. She was so inspiring! I think it was amazing that she could positively reverse the stigma that was put on her throughout her academic career by creating a toy for young girls. I think GoldieBlox was such a healthy step in the right direction. Pink Legos just do not cut it. GoldieBlox can help by jumpstarting the interest of young girls in STEM fields.
