In the story Brown goes off to hunt. He left his wife at home and levas for the woods. As he is on his way he runs into the devil. So, when it was time to find a song to go with this section. This can be seen as the devil showing the character what they have done. Also, what their past family members have done. In the story the devil tries to get Goodman Brown to go with him. By saying your Grandpa followed me. Also, by showing the whole town worshipping the devil. So, Goodman Brown thought he was the last one to still believe in god. In the story Young Goodman Brown the devil shows him the town worshipping him. The only reason Brown is like ya whatever. Is because he doesn't see his wife in the group. He doesn't see Faith in with them. Then all of a sudden he sees her pink ribbon. That she was wearing before he left the house. So, as the devil is talking to him trying to get to him. Brown is worried that his wife has betrayed their faith. Then when he doesn’t go with the devil, and heads back home nothing is the same. So, the song and the story are told differently, but there are lyrics that can be pulled out and used. So, when Brown goes back home nothing is the same. He sees everyone including faith as a person on the highway to hell with the devil. In the end Brown sticks with his wife and his village because he doesn't want to leave.
