In the story "Young Goodman Brown" is full of symbols like Faith, the Forest, and the Staff.
Every symbol has its meaning and these are very meaningful and are one of the more important ones in the story. All of them revolve around Goodman Browns incident in the woods and how they affected him in the future. "'Poor little Faith!' thought he, for his heart smote him. 'What a wretch am I to leave her on such an errand!'".
