Grading Scale
The following scale will be used for grading purposes:
A = 93-100, A- = 90-92, B+ = 87-89, B = 83-86, B- = 80-82, C+ = 77-79,
C = 73-76, C- = 70-72, D+ = 67-69, D = 63-66, D- = 60-62, and F = 59 or less
The website/handbook goes on to detail examples, including copying from another student’s academic work, inventing acts for an academic assignment, paraphrasing (using the ideas of others in your own words), and completing an academic exercise with the help of a peer, but crediting all work to oneself. In BUSN1102, submission of previously used academic work, even if that work is one’s own, will also be considered academic dishonesty.

Academic dishonesty on a paper or assignment leads to a zero on assignment in this course. The work cannot be made up. In addition, a letter detailing the incident will be sent to the Office of Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution. The minimum penalty for a finding of academic dishonesty by the student Judicial Hearing Board includes one year disciplinary probation.

Responsibilities
Attendance is mandatory. Two absences will lead to an F in the course. Excused absences include Jury duty, Religious Observance and University-Sponsored activities. Other reasons will be approved on a case by case basis. You must notify instructors prior to your absence, preferably at least 2 weeks before the absence.
