Inspirational Person Essay “Hi quit it!” That’s what my grandma says to my grandpa when he’s in a bad mood. The reason she says that is when my grandpa is in a bad mood he’s acting like his dad, Warren “Hi” Stetler. My grandpa, Gary Stetler, is the person I find inspiring. My grandpa was born in Kinderhook, Michigan in 1954. It’s a small rural town right on the state line of Indiana and Michigan, but on the Michigan side. I find my grandpa inspiring because he doesn’t complain, is a hard worker, and is energetic. I think one reason I find my grandpa inspiring because he doesn’t complain. One reason why I think he’s good at this is because he married the most demanding wife ever. My grandpa once told me that if there’s bad weather or bad food don’t complain. Finally, since my grandpa grew up in a poor family he did have much, so some of the little things he found as big things. For example, say you got a whole a candy bar, with the money my grandpa had he could only afford half of that candy bar. Also because my grandpa doesn’t complain it helps him do every job as if it were going to be the centerpiece at a royal ball. …show more content…
Ever since he was a kid he had to fix everything because they didn't’ have the money to buy a contactor. My grandpa fixed his own car at age 13. That included changing the tires, changing the brake belt, and fixing the engine. If don’t call that hard work, my grandpa has worked over 29,200 hours of overtime. Also I forgot to mention that he’s doing his job in a sub-zero refrigerator. My grandpa has never done a job without giving 100% effort. Finally, my grandpa is a hard worker because of his background. If you don’t give 100% effort you’ll mess up, and to my grandpa if he messed up he that's just throwing away money. There’s a quote he once told me “measure twice, cut
