There are many memories that I have with my grandpa that I will always remember and keep close to my heart. He was a very caring and loving Grandpa. He was always teasing somebody. Me, Janel, my grandma and just finding ways to make us laugh. I remember our trip to the mall since it was the first time I sat in the front seat of the car when I was a little kid, and the time he took us fishing and he was trying to show me how to cast the reel and I was too busy sitting at the edge of the dock playing with twigs. He tried to get me to worm my own hook but seeing the worm alive moving between his fingers freaked me out. We shared interestes in ASU, DiamondBack Baseball and even the Game Show Network. Although we would even end up watching Judge Judy.
I wanted to find a poem to read to my Grandpa and share with all of you. Its called “God’s Garden.”

God looked around his garden
And found an empty place. 
He then looked down upon the earth, 
And saw your tired face.  
He put His arms around you 
And lifted you to rest. 
God’s garden must be beautiful, 
He always takes the best.  
He knew that you were suffering, 
He knew that you were in pain.
He knew that you would never 
Get well on earth again.  
He saw the road was getting rough 
And the hills were hard to climb.
So He closed your weary eyelids 
And whispered “Peace be thine.”  
It broke our hearts to lose you 
But you did not go alone…
For part of us went with you 
The day God called you home.
