Being an “outsider” is like living a life of injustice. This is experienced by a group of Oklahoma youths classified as the greasers, who wage war with the Socs for equal rights and justice, in the novel called the Outsiders written by S.E HINTON. Some of the characters in the novel pursue to gain vast amounts of knowledge; however are restricted by being just a “greaser”, who are overlooked in society. Johnny, Ponyboy and Dally are overwhelmed by this spell as they thrive to flourish in life, however are pressured to learn the wrong ideas about the life of greasers and the Socs.
