The great gatsby written by F. Scott Fitzgerald during the time after world war 1, it was the

same time period in the book. "The Great Gatsby" tells a story about a man Name jay gatsby

who is a famous millionaire, who was once poor that found a girl name Dasy the (love interest of

the main character). F. Scott Fitzgerald Present Gatsby as a man that is irrational ,mysterious,

driven, persists and embodiment of the American dream.

In the book the point of view of the story is told in nick caraway perspective, an young

Minnesota man that graduated from Yale and fought in ww1. Scott Fitzgerald probably did this

for the reader to help give the impression that he was a mysterious man, that can't completely

Furthermore with nick interaction with Gatsby, nick became very impressed in what he saw

when he first met gatsby, he never thought Gatsby be would be a man in he's late 20, thinking

that he would be in he's late 40, gatsby doesn't drink At he's own party or hang around large

group of people. Which succeeded next expectation of gatsby, nick quickly. develop a

admiration towards Gatsby, which help gives us a base of understanding who gatsby was.

Over time In which nick and Gatsby relationship develop. Nick finds out that gatsby is in love

with dasy. "Gatsby bought that house so that Daisy would be just across the bay." Page 61,

showing the American dream in what was presented during this time. The American dream for

most part described as the ideal that every US citizen should have an equal opportunity to

achieve success and prosperity through hard work, determination, and initiative. work hard, and

get what you want. Gatsby was once a poor man working as a janitor to pay off his student

funds. He worked his way into wealth criminally and became rich finally; Gatsby lived in the west
