Greek Mythology Research Paper

Greek Mythology are the beliefs and ritual observances of the ancient Greeks. Ancient Greeks became the first Western civilization about 2000 BC(GreekM and GreekM, 1997)`. There are 12 Greek gods in total each have their own roles. The Greeks believed that the gods chose Mount Olympus, in a region of Greece called Thessaly as their home. Unlike ancient religions such as Hinduism or Judaism, Greek mythology did not involve special revelations or spiritual teachings it was more like stories to tell. Gods became associated with three main domains: the sky or heaven, the sea, and earth these are the most important. Many people believed that different God's made different things. In Greek Mythology she created the Universe and gave birth to both the first race of gods which are the Titans and the first human race. She was born from Cronos. She also gave birth to Uranus (god of heaven) and Poseidon (god of sea). She was the great goddess of early Greeks. She was the oldest of the gods of the early Greeks(The Olympians - Greek gods of mount Olympus, no date). Giai was known as the supreme goddess by humans and gods alike.
