Once we start reading, we find out that Gregor has woken up, and is transformed into a Vermin. He worries about getting late to his job as a traveling salesman. We find out that he is a traveling salesman, and despises his job. He talks about the struggles of his job. His job lacks any form of enteertainment, or time for him to spend. This job causes him to lead a very boring miserable life. He is constantly stressed due to his job. He has to travel and travel for his job along with worrying about changing trains. He has to eat whatever food is offered to him. His diet consists of eating miserable food. He always sees new faces. He doesn’t get to experinece any relationships. I feel that now that he has transformed into a Vermin, he would be able to enjoy life, and get a break. As a vermin, he wouldn’t have to worry about any responsibilties. Gregor would not have to worry about traveling, or changing trains. Since Gregor would be at his house, he will be able to eat delicious food. Gregor wouldn’t have to deal with seeing new faces. Since he will be at home, he can build a strong connection with his family. I feel that being a Vermin might completely change Gregor’s lifestyle. He wil be able to do things that he wasn’t able to before. He can get a break from his everyday life as a traveling salesman. I can relate to this as it would be a nice to have a change in everyday life. However, his metamorphisis will either be really great change for him, or it will be a bad one. Although, Gregor was freaking out, I have a feeling that his metamorphisis will bring a major change in plot, and affect all the other characters, as well as his
