Grey’s Anatomy Everyone viewer wants a show they can really get hooked to, has a new setting, and real characters they can fall in love with. Grey’s Anatomy has all of these qualities and more. Grey’s Anatomy is about the life of surgeons in and outside the walls of a hospital. Specifically, it focuses on the lives of Meredith Grey, Cristina Yang, Alex Karev, and Lexie Grey. Season 8 of Grey’s Anatomy furthers backs up the captivating plot, interesting setting, and realistic, complex characters. The plot Grey’s Anatomy has a way of captivating the viewers before the title is even shown. Shonda Rhimes, the writer of Grey’s Anatomy, waste no time jumping right into the excitement of the episode. A trend Rhimes tends to have in season 8 is there is always a calm before the storm. This is not the case with Grey’s Anatomy, the characters are faced with real-life situations that many can relate to. For example, Richard Webber, the former chief of surgery, is trying to cope with his wife’s alzheimer. For many, this disease is something one might deal on a daily bases. So, they find the show relatable as opposed to a show about an alien attack. Watching a show with reasonable issues is easier to follow along compared to a sci-fi show. If a TV series has only simple characters, the show seems to stuck and can no longer develop the storyline or thoughts. But, Grey’s Anatomy, is just the opposite. Rhimes creates complex characters and gives complex backgrounds. This keeps the show moving along and interesting.
Grey’s Anatomy season 8 is full of excitement, answers past questions, and raises new questions. By doing this, Shonda Rhimes has a way of keeping the viewers attention.
