A grievance is a real or imagined wrong or other cause for complaint or protest, especially wrong treatment. All of the movements had their own grievances but most had to do with inequality for special groups. The grievances of the African Americans during the civil rights movement was segregation, denied the right to vote, and unfair treatment. Grievances of the women during the feminist movement were that they were denied the right to their body regarding sexuality and abortion. Like the civil rights movement, women also fought for equal pay and the right to be active in the political system. Finally, the grievances of the homosexuals and transgender people during the LGBTQ movement were that they were treated unfairly due to their sexuality;
