In seventh grade my parents grounded me for 1 month and took my phone away for 2 months. I hung out with not so great people and helped them do crummy things, like holding on to a knife for one of them in school.
Being the foolish me I was, I decided to say yes when he asked me in the second floor bathroom, “hey can you hold on to this for me?”. I didn’t think much of it because I mean how would anyone find out? Right? He asked me to hold on to a knife of his so he wouldn’t be responsible. During our lunch period I took it out in the lunchroom bathroom and pretended to pull it out on my friend. My friend did not care, but the other guy in the bathroom did. I was achingly nervous and uneasy. He asked me to give it to him and I did and then I was directed to the AIP room. Mrs. Addison came inside and handed me a sheet that had questions like, witnesses, what did you do, and name and stuff. I wrote down Jae Cusick, Witnesses : Clarsen Dorcena, Cameron Shelly. I held on to a knife for a kid named Clarsen because he asked me to. I had to stay in AIP for 3 days and it was horrible. The day it happened when I went home, I got the lecture of dreams. Bellowing and shouting for 30 minutes about what the hell I was doing and all that. My parents were yelling at me but I understood why; they had no idea why I would do such a thing and I felt bad about myself. I came to the conclusion that doing these bad things is only malicious for my being. The second day was worse, it was hard to even glance at my parents let alone talk to them and I got questions for 2 months about the incident. Since that passed, I have a new view on things. Do what your parents say for 5 more years and do what you think is right. So behave and do your work. I also realized that there is no point in not doing your work it is just destructive to your personality and future. I do around 90% better at behaving then last
