Firstly, it is commonly accepted that a group of students work well together would achieve a lot more than any single individual working alone. Groups have a wider range of knowledge, expertise and skills than individuals. When working on a project, perhaps there will have several possible methods to figure it out. As an individual, student may be confused about which way to choose. However, group members can provide their insight on the problem and share ideas base on their own thought and skills. With the help of various ideas, they will have a deeper understanding and get highly creative solutions to the project easily. From what has been discussed above, we may safely draw the conclusion that the individual group member will has a better opportunity to get his or her contributions and ideas not only recognized but also remarkable since a group’s overall results can be more significant and have greater impact than a person works individually.

In addition to the fact shown above, working as a group also has benefit in the improvement of efficiency. On account of the enormous advantage in the number of group and the abundant ideas and skills of each group members, a project which attacked by a group can be done faster and with greater efficiency than if just one student attempted to figure it out. To illustrate this, there is an example from my cousin Jennifer. Jennifer is a student from University of Waterloo. Just like most of the university students, Jennifer has lots of assignments to do every day. She found that the best way to finish her assignments is to work in teams since a group can work more quickly in response to the task assigned to it and can come up with wonderful ideas which helps her a lot. Therefore, group work is a good method to get things done faster.
Furthermore, working together as a group also help students to develop their interpersonal skills. Today, an increasing number of experts believe that interpersonal skills play an increasingly important role in the social life and workplaces.
