In the eyes of a child, I never fully understood how the real world was going to be, it all seemed like it was all fun and games. Even throughout high school, it seemed like reality was not catching up to me just yet. It was not until I reached rock bottom that I learned one of the most important lessons I have to this day. It is never too late to change who you want to be.
Growing up in a small family and being blessed with two older sisters, it seemed like the first lesson I ever learned was education is the key to success. Growing up in a Hispanic family my father, Eduardo, was always strict and his main priority was our education. On weekends, my father will take us to walk around different college campuses, this was our usual routine.
