Should and do celebrities recover the same treatment when charged with crime?
First of all, what or who is a celebrity? A celebrity is a person who has a prominent profile and commands a great degree of public fascination and influence in day-to-day media. Most people would most likely say a celebrity is a person that has fame riches and of course Power. All celebrities started out the exact same way as every one else in life we breath the same air. The point I am trying to make is that these celebrities are normal people just like anyone else, despite fame and riches. Most of the time there are news of many different celebrities that are usually getting arrested for something crazy stupid that they have done. Usually, this story is followed weeks, days or even minutes later with another story announcing their release. As a result, it seems like most celebrities can commit numerous crimes, and after a promise to seek anger management courses, or a tearful plea about some made up medical condition, and they are able to walk away with just a slap on the wrist. Even for more serious crimes, it seems like the sentences are drastically reduced, or charges are dropped altogether. It is not fair for these celebrities to get away with any crime or being sentence with less time than the normal citizen would of obtain depending on the crime, just because of who they are. Each and every human should pay the same consequence that is giving by the courts for committing a crime. The law should even use the celebrities as an example. If they are being charge with a crime they should treat them the same way as they would to any other citizen to let the public know that we do not tolerate crime no matter who u are. Most celebrities, because of whom they are and the fact that they are rich and famous, they are able to get away with a particular crime or their sentence are reduced. An example of a celebrity getting away or sentence being reduce would be Klhoe kardashian. Klhoe kardashian was arrested in March 2007 on DUI charges.
