Did you know on an average day ninety-one Americans are killed with guns? There are nearly 12,000 gun murders a year in the U. S. In view of this fact gun violence should be reduced in the United States of America and around the world. This should be done without taking away legal rights and abiding citizens to acquire and possess firearms. There are three ways that gun violence can be reduced. These ways are keeping a record clear and going through a record recovery, completing a training session, and creating a gun curfew.
To start with, one should have a clean record for at least three to five years. If not, a therapy session should be required to help create a clean record and to prevent further illegal actions. This therapy session would help determine why they did it and to ensure that it won’t happen again. The therapy session will last for six continuous months. According to an article on "Huffington Post", more than 50% of violence occur at night. This would help diminish violence from occurring because most gun violence transpires at night. If it is for self-defense, use an alternative such as a taser for protection instead of a gun. If this rule is broken, your gun privilege will be taken away for at least six months before being able to go through a firearm therapy session and training session.
In conclusion, gun violence should be reduced in the United States of America and around the world. It can be reduced by having a clean record or going through record recovery, completing a training session, and creating a gun curfew. If these laws were in place, the events present in the paragraphs above would have never occurred. If gun violence is not reduced soon, instead of ninety-one people getting killed with firearms it would be doubled. As can be seen, gun violence need to be minimized and can be done with the rules found
