In my opinion I think Dante would choose Gustave Dore’s illustrations. Gustave Dore’s drawing look so much cooler and more detailed. He has a certain type of dark element in his pictures that really stand out when comparing his and William Blake’s drawing. Some people might disagree and think his drawings might be too dark but if the illustrations are going to be drawn about hell it wouldn’t be such a happy picture. The first feature I found better in Gustave’s drawing was the demons. The demons in his drawing really stand out and have a creepy look. He really drew them to look menacing not just only to Virgil and Dante but to the audience as well. It was obvious he took his time to draw everything in a precise and detailed way. Another
