Herman Webster Mudgett Herman Webster Mudgett or H.H Holmes was America’s first serial killer. In recent times people have assumptions that H.H Holmes could have been the famous, unidentified, british, serial killer, Jack the Ripper. They searched H.H. Holmes not finding any news on them being the same man.
H.H Holmes or in Chicago known as “The Beast of Chicago” was born in Gilmanton, New Hampshire on May 16, 1861. Holmes was a fairly good child aside from having an unusual obsession with dissecting dead animals and having to face his fear of doctors, leading to a terribly usual fascination with death. Holmes had gone to the University of Michigan.
