In my first semester, I was privileged enough to embark on a tour that was organized by my college, Essex County College, and the neighboring Rutgers Medical School. The first time I stepped foot into NJMS, I was greeted with a sense of accomplishment and hard work that permeated my surroundings. More importantly, I felt at home, at ease, I was in my environment. Hearing the words uttered by the panelists, which consisted of current medical students, transpired a plethora of ideas which ignited a desire deep within me. Venturing further into the school, I was captivated by the different aspects of it such as the cadaver room, the lecture halls, and the overall personality of the people and school. Culminating my future career path, I have arrived at the consensus that participating in NERA HCOP shall mold me into a better-suited …show more content…
By having your mindset developed strictly for your field of study by prominent figures who are already well-regarded in their discipline is truly appetizing. My career path is heavy on rigor, that is a trauma surgeon, and through NERA HCOP I’ll be more inclined to achieve that desired outcome. Having a more realistic and influential guidance to assist me on my path to medicine is an offer I simply cannot refuse. It’s no surprise that Rutgers is a highly regarded institution, and more so for their prestigious medical school. Participating in this program will allow me to obtain meaningful insight from professors who are well-versed in their discipline. Distributing this information throughout various parts of my life and medical career will yield more substantial benefit rather than acquire it on my own. To be under the tutelage of individuals at a building of knowledge such as NJMS is enticing and leaves me yearning to be able to experience and acquire the priceless knowledge that this program has to
