There is still an unsolved case till this day and investigators are still trying to figure out who murdered a high school girl. In this case, a girl named Hae Min Lee disappeared one day and Sarah Koenig, the investigator, is trying to find who the murderer is. Many people don’t suspect Hae Min Lee’s ex boyfriend, Adnan Syed for murdering Hae, but his friend Jay explained everything about how Hae left Adnan for another guy and that Adnan wanted to kill her cause he got angry. Sarah Koenig was speaking to a friend of Hae Min Lee named Becky and she overheard the conversation about how Hae refused to give Adnan a ride. “At end of school I saw them. She said ‘Oh no I can’t take you, I have something else to do.” Episode 2: The Breakup p.42. In this quote, Hae Min Lee rejected Adnan Syed because she had something else important to do. This suggests that Hae wasn’t murdered in her own car by Adnan Syed since he didn’t go in Hae’s car. “Okay, so no one actually testified at trial that they saw Hae and Adnan leave school together.” Episode 2: The Breakup p.41. There was no one that witnessed Hae and Adnan leaving in the car together. This proves that Adnan was never with Hae and usually if two people aren’t with each other they can’t really murder the other person.
