Haiti and the Dominican Republic are different in many ways, for example the Haitians embrace the fact that they’re black while those in the Dominican Republic are almost repulsed by the concept of being black. In the Dominican Republic they speak Spanish but in Haiti they speak Creole and French. While they are the different in different aspects of their lives they did have a lot in common. Both countries were influenced by outside places, and were plagued by economic and political corruption.
