The second part of Hammett's book discusses who is in the church. Hammett explains the Baptist having a unique quality to ecclesiology of Christian believer's and church membership. Chapter five then moves to an argument call for churches to return to (Bible-related) marks of the church. Here he shows where many Baptist churches went away from what's right by leaving alone and forgetting the mark that the church is made up of believers as he offers opinions about what could or should be done about a situation for how church membership can be recovered and how Christians and church field of study can be reformed.
