Hayley okines has made a lasting impact on the world. She made life seem amazing because Even though she knew that her life would end at any given moment she still told her story with her head held high. The reason that she knew that she might die is because she had a very progressive and rare disease called progeria. For these reason Hayley Okines was voted 2002 medal winner of the 2002 Children's courage awards. The reason that the judge also gave this award to Hayley was because He/She thought that: “She had a gift for making even the worst things better”.
