No students do not have the right to freedom of speech in school because if they did, they would not get in trouble for cussing but if you got pulled over you can not get in trouble for cursing at a cop because that is freedom of speech that is just one of the ways schools take your rights away Yes students do have the right to religion they can practice it on there own but the teachers or administrators can not lead a prayer but they can not stop you from praying as long as it does not interrupt you from learning The Supreme Court's 1988 decision in the case Hazelwood School District v.
