Training the next generation of public health professionals is crucial in assuring the well-being of all members of the society and meeting the goals established by Healthy People 2020. Thus, the mission of the program in community health education is to address the public health through the preparation of specialists trained to focus on the health of community members in varied settings. This course, HBSS 5410: Practicum in Health Education, prepares students to engage in the tasks of addressing community and public health via analysis, assessment, program planning, program implementation, intervention, evaluation, and research.
