He Is A Dependable Leader In The Odyssey

The Odyssey is a major greek epic poem. In the Odyssey, the main character, Odysseus faces major obstacles in order to get home and take his place as ruler of Ithaca. However, while reading the epic poem commotion as come up of which Odysseus is fit to be a ruler from the way he acts. Many people would say that Odysseus is daring or venturous. And many would believe that he is a somewhat responsible and dependable leader. However, others would agree that he is both a venturous and dependable leader.

To Begin, from what we have observed of Odysseus, it can be inferred that he is a dependable leader because of his courageousness. For example, when Odysseus travels alone through the underworld to talk to Teiresias. Teiresias is the blind prophet from the city of Thebes who can see the future. Which emphasizes my point in how Odysseus is brave as he goes unattended to speak to Teiresias so he is able to find a way back to Ithaca (Odysseus home). Also in Part 1 of The Odyssey when Odysseus stands up to the giant Cyclops. As said in the
