The Health Care Management Nurse (HCMN) I - III is a sanctioned Professional Practice Licensure “Direct Hire” position which, has been approved by Human Capital Management (HCM). In order to expedite the hiring process for these positions, selecting officials may fill the position by 1) using the standard job announcement process; or 2) by direct appointment.
1) Filling the positon by using the standard job announcement process

a) Follow the job announcement process instructions.

b) Applicants should apply on the open announcement and attach a copy of their license to their online application through the HCM JobAps application system.

c) After the announcement closes, Employment Services Unit (ESU) conducts the minimum qualifications

2) Filling the positon by direct appointment

a) The selecting official may fill the position by direct hire.

b) The field should forward the application and copy of license to their HR Liaison.

c) If the HCM-92 has been approved, the HR Liaison will forward the application to ESU for the minimum qualifications review approval.

d) ESU will email the approval letter in the format below to the field and the designated HR liaison:

i) Subject: Review of Direct Hire - HCMN

I have checked the mq’s for __________. He/She meets the MQ’s for Y15B/HCMN II. You may now proceed with the hiring process, as long as you have received all of the required approvals for a direct hire.

(HR liaison name), I have put the paperwork in your mailbox to hold until the new hire packet is sent to HRM.

e) Once the selecting official receives the approval email, a job offer may be made, pending the outcome of the background check and drug test.

f) The new hire packet (ADM-68, etc.) should include the approval email and transcript from ESU and return/scan to *STO.HRM.SERVICES.
