Steel City’s Home Health Care provides health services in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Steel City’s Home Health Care currently has 25 employees providing services to more than 75 clients physically disable, elderly, or unable to take care of themselves. Steel City’s Home Health Care has encountered several changes over the years. In 2005, Steel City’s Home Health Care became a contracted provider in the Aging (PDA) Waiver Program of Pennsylvania. This increased the agency’s demand for services. In 2010, Steel City’s Home Health Care made the decision of merging with another local home care health agency. Since the merge with Pittsburgh Home Health Care, Steel City’s Home Health Care has experienced the loss of staff, lack of communication (both internally and externally throughout the organization), and outdated rules and regulations.
Steel City’s Home Health Care is a short- and long-term home healthcare agency that provides skilled nursing, nursing aide, homehealth aide, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and case management services.
