The Iliad In the Iliad, Homer describes if he wants to stay home or return to battle. I Think the wise choice would be for Hector to return to battle. My three main reasons are; the Trojans don’t have a chance without Hector, Hector will live with guilt if he doesn’t battle, and he owes it to his troops. To start, my first supportive reason is he will live with guilt if he wasn’t with the Trojans and they lost. Everyday he’ll wake up knowing he’s the main reason they lost.
