Hephaestus is the Greek god of blacksmith,sculpture,metallurgy,fire and volcano. In Homer's epics, the Iliad and the Odyssey, he was the son of Zeus and Hera.In others,however,tells us Hera borne him.He was born crippled. Which caused Hera to throw him off Mt. Olympus. After being thrown in the ocean,he was raised by Thetis and Eurynome.He,later on,became a master craftsman on the island of Lemnos.Hephaestus soon was accepted back to Olympus and became the blacksmiths of the Gods,creating all their weapons,armour,and shields.
