Heroism In Beowulf

In the epic poem, Beowulf, we see the newfound religion of Christianity and the traditional paganism that mankind had always used in times of hardship. On one level heros like we see in Beowulf are seen as a protector of mankind. Beowulf himself fought evil as compared to the heroes of today. For example, in one source we see a refreshing idea of saving mankind. Heroes of today differs little with the heroes of the past. It shows the example of heroes in the Holocaust, one of the world’s worst genocides known to man. The heroes of the Holocaust were the heroes who his the Jews and got Jews out of the country before they went to the concentration camps. Today heroes protect the welfare of others and help the relation of the politics of a brutal dictatorship.Still yet, as we see in North Korea the leader starves the people, and uplifts military.
