European continent was undergoing an abundant of change before the discovery of Hieronymus Bosch. He is responsible for many incredible, mind blowing, and confusing pieces of art. The Garden of Earthly Delights and many other amazing works of arts created by Hieronymus Bosch should be preserved because his art hold religious meaning, imaginative imagery, and scarce amount of his paintings. The continent of Europe had been severely impacted by the Black Plague nearly wiping out one-third of the continent’s population. The plague didn’t sacrifice anyone in its path; killing children, parents, and members of the church. Many people even believed that God was punishing his people for their sinful temptations and wrong doing (‘Black Death”). Soon after the heartache was over European countries were all facing an inspirational time. The Renaissance was an open door to artists to explore their imagination, culture, and religious beliefs through their art. The late Hieronymus Bosch is considered a mysterious artist. Although little information is known about Bosch due to the lack of diaries or letter, researches believe he was born during 1450 in Hertogenbosch now known as Netherlands (“Hieronymus Bosch”).
