In High Noon, the main character named Will Kane leaves and retires from being the Sheriff of his town, but chooses to stay and fight. Many people refused to help him fight off Frank Miller who is coming back to town to cause havoc. "The Most Dangerous Game" is about a character named Sanger Rainsford who falls off a yacht and ends up in an island. He meets General Zaroff and becomes hunted. These are two great stories that tell a tale about survival and the experience of being isolated. Although both High Noon and "The Most Dangerous Game" have a differences about the theme, the main characters and the plots are similar. High Noon and "The Most Dangerous Game" have different themes. High Noon shows how you can count on no one. It also portrays to fight for what you believe in even if no one will help you. "Will, I think you ought to go while there's still time. For the most part, the stories are set up. Then at the end comes the fight or the violence. At the end of High Noon Kane shoots Frank Miller to save his wife Amy. "Mitchell fires a burst of shots. Widely, Amy reaches up with her free hand and claws at his face and eyes... Kane staggers from a bullet in the shoulder, but keeps shooting and Mitchell goes down, his guns slipping from his fingers" (Foreman 332). In the beginning and middle of the story, there was a lot of suspense and at the end Kane became the hero of his town.
