High School Basketball Goals

In life everybody has an aspiration in sports which they wish to accomplish before they are unable to play anymore, mine happens to be in basketball. Overall, basketball has been playing a key role in my life throughout my high school years; from summer practices, fall practices and the season in the winter. I have played hundreds of basketball games throughout my years for West High School, but for every game my goal is to play to the best of my abilities. In all the games I have played for my different coaches at West, I can illustrate everything that goes through my mind while I am on the court.

By achieving the goal of reaching the state tournament, my team and I wish that it will change the culture at West, by demonstrating that it is possible to make it to the state tournament; despite West not having the best track record when it comes to sports and success. In the end, when I complete my High School basketball career, I know I will miss it tremendously because basketball is such a big part in my life at the moment. During post game speeches by Coach Bigler various ideas come to mind, but constantly in the back of my head, I believe I will miss basketball when it’s all over. It will not hit me that my basketball career is over until I do not consistently have the leathery, bumpy basketball in my hands, when I will not be lacing my shoes up everyday for games and practices and finally the most important in my eyes, I will not see my teammates everyday that I became so close with these last four years. In the near future where I will be deciding what university to attend, I will not be continuing my basketball career because I want to focus on the next part of my
