Many high school student athletes struggle with the pressure of balancing their athletics and their academics. In today’s society, the struggles of keeping up with academics while in athletics has grown to be an issue that is affecting a monumental amount of student athletes. They have to deal with a copious amount of external pressures which to them causes a more difficult task for the students themselves. In most of the high schools in the U.S there are very many athletes who find it difficult to focus on both athletics and academics due to all that goes on in their daily lives. It is no doubt that high school student athletes face strife while trying their best to achieve academic greatness and athletic achievement. Many people do not understand what we athletes have to face. They are quick to judge and do not think about the possible problems that we may face while trying to be successful. But in reality it is more difficult than it may seem.
Athletes are supposed to be well rested after practices, workouts, or games. But you can see the tiredness in them due to lack of sleep caused by staying up and doing homework. “Student athletes are Pressured by coaches to put their sport before
