“Word Battle”

If you solely had the power to pick the next president of the United States of America what would you look for? Would you want someone boisterous and unafraid of speaking their mind? Or would you want someone more meek and humble someone quiet but still capable of getting their job done? On the recent Hillary and Trump debate many issues was discussed and the audience was able to see the personality of the two candidates and view how the questions was answered.
The first question that the candidates are presented with is what is their perspective on the current economic reality? Candidate Hillary Clinton was asked “why are you a better choice than your opponent to create the kinds of jobs that will put more money into the pockets

Logos is defined as appealing to one’s logic and persuading an audience with reason. Trump then casts a light on Hillary and how that she has worked in the government for over 30 years and still has not been able to produce jobs, or more money for the country. In doing this he questions why we would want to put someone in office who is obviously incapable of producing any of the things that she says. In the article “Hillary Clinton and Donald trump press pointed attacks in debate” the article expresses how trump felt about Hillary’s 30 years of unsuccessful ventures. “Mr. Trump seemed most confident when he accused Mrs. Clinton of lacking a record of success or results despite being in public life for 30 years. Trump said, invoking a pact that is deeply unpopular in several swing states, and then added that the Trans-Pacific Partnership “will be almost as bad.” After Mrs. Clinton said she had opposed the trans-Pacific trade deal, Mr. Trump interjected and, raising his voice, talked over her. “You called it the gold standard,” in his speech you can tell the disdain trump had for Hillary and how as an audience you had to take into consideration what he was saying. Let us just think about it this way, if you were a CEO of a fortune 500 company and you hired someone who seemed like they would be a tremendous asset to the company. Before you know it 25 years has passed by and this employee hasn’t produced anything beneficial for your company. You open up a position and this employee makes it known that they would love the promotion. As a CEO if you examined the 25 years that they’ve worked for your company and accomplished absolutely nothing would you give them that promotion? No, you would even begin to question why you’re still allowing them to clock in every day. And you definitely wouldn’t think about giving them a promotion. That analogy is similar to what trump is saying about Hillary. It makes you feel like you would be ignorant for voting Hillary into office just because she has worked in the government for a long period of time. In the debate I believe that trump used logos
