Hillary Clinton should be the next President of the United States. If she wins the election, she would become the first ever woman president. Before running to be president, Clinton served as the U.S. senator. Her father was a World War 2 veteran and a small business owner. Clinton attended Wellesley College and Yale Law School when she was younger. In school, she was always a leader. Her years at Yale prepared he to fight for the rights of children and families at the Children’s Defense Fund. She later married former president Bill Clinton. In 1993, Bill Clinton was sworn in as president and Hillary became the first lady. In 2008, President Obama asked Clinton to serve as U.S. Secretary of State. She accepted, however, later resigned and two years after, announced that she would be running for president again. She wants to strengthen families, focus on early childhood education and equal pay opportunities for women. Strengthening families & early childhood education are very important issues to cover. Clinton also supports making the wealthier Americans pay more estate tax. I agree, because it would be more fair and the people with more money would equal out to the people with less money. Therefore, everyone would be equal and none would be wealthier than others. I also agree with Clinton for supporting the free trade agreement because trading is a good way to communicate and trade goods with other countries. Creating more jobs is very important as well. Clinton says that “income inequality is slowing economic growth so the focus should be on creating more jobs.” She also says that she will introduce a path to earn citizenship in the first 100 days and would work to fix our broken immigration system.
