Hinduism Hinduism is a religion that originated in India and yet to this day it is still practiced in India by a majority of the nation. Natives practice Hinduism along with the people who migrated to India from other parts of the world. The word “Hindu” comes from an ancient Sanskrit term which means “dwellers by the Indus River”, referring to the initial settlement of India near Pakistan. Hinduism is the first religion that came up with the universal ideas of reincarnation and karma. The religion, Hinduism does not have an organization and hierarchy because it suggests to respect and commitment to an ideal way of life. It has been said that Vishnu came down on Earth 10 times as a human being to save humanity. Each time he came with a different purpose and a different identity to make sure the human world was safe and all the evil was demolished. Anytime when something evil was getting out of control for example, there is a story of Lord Krishna was that his uncle was very evil and power hungry so when he heard that his sister’s 8th child will kill him, he killed off all her children and but little did he know, on the night of his birth, his dad had swapped him with another baby and when the baby grew up, he killed the evil king. This was one of Lord Vishnu’s identity on being earth to save good from the evil. His story is very universally known and is very recognizable in many literature, for example the most recent one is “Getting Revenge on Lauren Woods”, where the main character is humiliated by the antagonist so she returns with a new appearance to seek revenge. This teaches that being mean or evil does not get you anywhere because at the end of the day, you will be irrelevant, doing the right thing is always important to make an impact on other people. Although, Shiva is known as the destroyer, he has a good reason to be the destroyers. To have good things in life, we must get rid of the bad ones. Shiva is known to destroy the bad things about the human nature, sometimes it does not make sense to a human soul but it comes to our conscious later.
